Self-Op Playbook

Take some time out of your day to learn more about AHF's self-op resources, programs, tips, and more. Join our Self-Operated Project Committee to ask questions and make sure that if the contractors come knocking, you're prepared. The committee will walkthrough resources recently developed and updated to help you respond to contractor threats, prove your value, or get set up as a self-operated facility following the transition from a contractor. Ask questions to our team of experts that serve on our Self-Operated Project Committee and also on our Self-Op Support (SOS) Team responsible for supporting operators in emergency threat situations.

Learning Objectives: Attendees will walk about away with skills and knowledge in:
  1. Keeping their operations self-operated and managing day-to-day administrative and management functionalities.
  2. Understanding tools and resources related to management of a food and nutrition services department for a self-operated facility.
  3. How to respond when under siege by a contract company.
  4. Understanding of resources and tactics for proving value and understanding business models for self-operated facilities.
